Nursing careers are diverse, and teaching or presenting skills can open doors to roles in nurse education, staff development, or leadership positions within healthcare organisations. To get involved in teaching and presentation activities as a student nurse, may guide by this steps:
Volunteering - Seek opportunities within our nursing program or clinical settings to lead small teaching sessions or present on relevant topics to our peers or medical learners.
Join Nursing Organisations- Many nursing student organisations offer opportunities for leadership and teaching roles. Joining such organizations can be a great way to gain experience.
Collaborate- Work with our peers on group projects that involve teaching or presenting to classmates. This allows us to share the workload and ideas.
Attend Workshops and Seminars- Participate in workshops or seminars that focus on teaching and presentation skills. These can provide valuable guidance and tips.
Seek Mentorship and willingness to learn- Find a mentor who is an experienced nurse or educator and can provide guidance on developing our teaching and presentation skills.
Overall, teaching and presentation activities can be instrumental in my journey as a student nurse, helping each other will become a more knowledgeable, skilled, and confident healthcare professional.
